Draft decision

The AER published its draft decision to update the interim Contracts and Firmness Guidelines (C&F Guidelines) on 10 June 2025. The draft decision includes an updated draft of the C&F Guidelines, a document that tracks the proposed changes to the previous version, and an Explanatory Statement that outlines these changes and our approach to the consultation.

Submissions

Interested parties are invited to make submissions on this draft document by 8 July 2025.

Submissions should be in PDF, Microsoft Word or another text readable document format.

We prefer that all views and comments be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. Views and comments will be treated as public documents unless otherwise requested. Parties wishing to submit confidential information should:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.

Stakeholder forum

We will be hosting a stakeholder forum to outline the proposed changes to the Interim Contracts and Firmness Guidelines (C&F Guidelines) and to discuss our approach to consulting on the C&F Guidelines in 2025 and 2026.

This forum is also an opportunity for stakeholders to share their thoughts on the C&F Guidelines.

It will be held online via Microsoft Teams from 11am to 12pm AEST on Tuesday 17 June 2025.
