On 21 January 2013, the AER released its issues paper for consultation on the RIT-D and its application guidelines. The RIT-D and its application guidelines will be released by 31 August 2013. The RIT-D will replace the current Regulatory Test for distribution projects.

Stakeholder forum - Pre-draft RIT-D workshop
Separate workshops on the pre-draft RIT-D and pre-draft RIT-D application guidelines were held in the AER Melbourne and Sydney offices on the 15 and 16 May 2013. Some participants were able to connect via teleconference.
The workshops provided participants an opportunity to provide comment on the pre-draft RIT-D and application guidelines prior to its release on 5 June 2013.
