On 18 August 2026, the AER released the draft Retail Exempt Selling Guideline (version 8), draft Network Exemptions Guideline (version 8) and accompanying draft notice of decision for consultation.

Interested stakeholders are invited to email submissions by COB Tuesday, 15 September 2026 to AERExemptionsaer [dot] gov [dot] au (subject: Submission%20%E2%80%93%20Exemption%20guidelines%20review) (AERExemptions[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with the email subject header ‘Submission – Draft Retail Exempt Selling Guideline and Draft Network Exemptions Guideline (version 8)’.
