On 27 March 2015 the AER received ElectraNet's proposal seeking to the early application of the network capability component in its current 2013-2018 regulatory control period from 1 July 2015.

The AER sought submissions on ElectraNet's proposal seeking early application of the network capability component. Submissions closed on 13 May 2015. One submission was received from the South Australian Council of Social Service (SACOSS). In making our final decision, we have considered SACOSS' submission. 

Within 10 business days of receiving ElectraNet's application, the AER is required by clause 11.77.3(c) to undertake a preliminary examination of the application and make a determination on whether it complies with the relevant STPIS information requirements of the submission guidelines.

On 13 April 2015, the AER made a determination that ElectraNet's application complies with the relevant STPIS information requirements of the submission guidelines.
