On 12 May 2023 the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) approved GVSC Pty Limited's application for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation under the National Energy Retail Law for Glenrose Village Shopping Centre at 56-58 Glen Street, Belrose NSW 2085.
Background
On 13 January 2023 the AER accepted an application from GVSC Pty Limited for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation for Glenrose Village Shopping Centre.
Submissions were invited from interested stakeholders on GVSC Pty Limited's application and closed on 17 February 2023. No submissions were received.
Cancellation of Exemption
On 12 December 2025, the AER accepted an application from GVSC Pty Limited to cancel this individual exemption, as it intends to cease selling energy to customers at Glenrose Village Shopping Centre.
The AER, in accordance with clause 20 of schedule 2 of the National Gas Law (as applied by section 8 of the National Energy Retail Law), has a general power to repeal any decisions it is entitled to make.
Invitation for submissions
We are now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on the repeal application by COB Wednesday, 14 January 2026, after which time the AER will approve or refuse the application.
