On 18 November 2024, the AER approved the trustee for RAM Australia Retail Property No.1 Trust's application for an individual exemption from the requirement to hold a retailer authorisation (under the National Energy Retail Law) for Ballina Central.
Cancellation of Exemption
On 21 November 2025, the AER accepted an application from the trustee for RAM Australia Retail Property No.1 Trust to cancel this individual exemption, as it intends to cease selling energy to customers at Ballina Central.
The AER, in accordance with clause 20 of schedule 2 of the National Gas Law (as applied by section 8 of the National Energy Retail Law), has a general power to repeal any decisions it is entitled to make.
