AusNet Services (SP AusNet) - AMI remote services charges 2014

Commencement date:
30 August 2013
Effective date:
1 January 2014
AER reference:

The provision of remote services through advanced metering infrastructure will enable customers to receive certain services at lower cost than in the past through the avoidance of on-site field officer visits.

We assessed SP AusNet's proposal under the Essential Services Commission Victoria (ESCV) Electricity Industry Guideline 14: Provision of Services by Electricity Distributors.

On 2 December 2013, the AER released its final decision on the regulation of advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) remote services in Victoria for SP AusNet. Charges have also been set for Citipower, Powercor, Jemena and United Energy, which remain the same as our previous determinations for them. Those charges can be found in the AER final decision – SP AusNet AMI remote service charges 2014–15 – 2 December 2013"as featured in the key documents section of this web page.

On 4 August 2014, SP AusNet was rebranded as AusNet Services.
