Pipeline Information Disclosure Guidelines

Date initiated:

AER General Inquiries AERInquiry@aer.gov.au

The Pipeline Information Disclosure Guidelines are a requirement under the new Part 10 of the National Gas Rules and are intended to improve transparency and the bargaining power of gas pipeline users.

The Guidelines must cover matters such as what financial information a gas pipeline service provider (service provider) is required to publish, the methods and inputs a service provider must use to calculate this information, and how information must be published on service providers’ websites.

On 6 April 2023, the AER published an issues paper seeking stakeholder feedback on key issues. We invited stakeholders to provide views and comments, which we will consider as we prepare draft Guidelines for consultation later in the year. Submissions on our issues paper are now closed.
