On 2 April 2025, Transgrid submitted an application for a waiver from clause 3.1(b) (legal separation provisions) of the Electricity Transmission Ring-fencing Guideline (the Guideline).
Transgrid requested that the AER grant this waiver to allow Transgrid to provide telecommunications services not associated with the transmission network to one customer.
