On 22 May 2026, the Australian Energy Regulator published an application from ZEN Energy Retail Pty Ltd (ZEN Energy Retail) to transfer the ZEN Energy Retail electricity retailer authorisation to ZEN Energy Retail Holdings Pty Ltd under the National Energy Retail Law (Retail Law).

The AER is now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on ZEN Energy Retail Pty Ltd's application to transfer the ZEN Energy Retail electricity authorisation to ZEN Energy Retail Holdings Pty Ltd. Submissions close on Friday 19 June 2026.
