The AER has determined that the SoCI Act reforms met the definition of a regulatory change pass through event, and that Powerlink incurred materially higher costs as a result. The AER has approved a positive pass through amount of $3.67 million ($nominal) to be recovered in 2027–28.

On 10 July 2026, the AER published its determination for a positive pass through amount of $3.67 million ($nominal). Powerlink may recover this through network users in 2027-28.
