DMS contact

My last full report was in January 2011.

We have had no disputes or scheduling errors this year.

Updates to site

I have now completed some changes to update documents. These are posted on the AER web site. In particular you will find:

Updated DMS contacts

We have updated the DMS contacts. Please take the time to check your organisation. If you see any changes let me know. If you are browsing and also think of any participant organisation that is missing from the list I am always happy to hear from you.

Scheduling errors

There is a new form and practice notes for scheduling errors. This is designed to simplify the processing of those matters where AEMO has declared an event as such.

Form 1 - DMS and Form 2

These forms have been updated and now contain annotations to assist with its completion. The preliminary feedback is that it is still not clear how to use stage 2 and in particular when to use the adviser process and when to submit straight to the DRP. I will be reviewing this again to see if I can simplify the practice notes and the form 2.

Welcome note

New provisions for dispute resolution

The National Electricity (Retail Support) Amendment Rules 2010 contain dispute resolution provisions for both disputed statement of charges and requests for credit support where disputes arise. It is useful to try and anticipate the type of disputes that may be referred to these provisions to ensure that the system is prepared if a dispute arises. I will be setting up a working group for this purpose. If you are a DMS contact for a retailer or a distribution network service provider and you are interested in being part of this dialogue, please email me and register your interest.

Training finalised in the financial year ending 30 June 2011

Update in Melbourne

The update took place in the Virgin Lounge on 20 June 2011. It resulted in a request for a longer workshop. I am conducting this in Melbourne as it was a bit difficult for people to attend the interstate workshops this round due to the ash cloud.

Hobart - 21 June 2011

A full day training took place covering the matters set out in the agenda posted below. The turnout was fantastic and thank you so much to Transend for the wonderful hospitality. I spent an extra 3 days in Hobart thanks to the dust cloud. The MONA museum is a must and Waverley blankets are fantastic!

Brisbane - 29 June 2011

A full day training took place in Brisbane also covering the matters set out in the agenda below. The participation as always was excellent and I will review the form 2 notice and process notes to see if I can better reflect the excellent suggestions made at that forum.
