The following table sets out the exemption classes for deemed and registrable retail exemptions. There are conditions attached to each class. Compliance with all applicable conditions is a mandatory requirement in order for a retail exemption issued by the AER to be valid. D1Persons selling metered energy to fewer than 10 small commercial/retail customers within the limits of a site that they own, occupy or operate, and whereby the energy selling commenced before 1 January 2026.
