On 19 May 2016 we received two applications from Energex seeking waivers from s. 6.1(b) of the Queensland Distribution Ring-Fencing Guidelines (the Guidelines). These relate to installation of a solar photovoltaic (PV) unit and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) at Energex's Eagle Farm Distribution Centre and a mobile educational exhibit incorporating solar PV and BESS.
On 18 August 2016 we made final decisions to grant temporary and conditional waivers in response to Energex's waiver applications.
