AusNet Services is an electricity distribution network service provider. Its next five year regulatory control period commences on 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2031 (2026–31).
Under the National Electricity Rules (NER), AusNet Services is required to submit its regulatory proposal to us by 31 January 2025. However, prior to that date, the NER require us to review the current F&A paper that applies to AusNet Services and decide whether to amend or replace it.
On 14 November 2023, the AER released a Notice on whether to amend or replace the current AusNet Services framework and approach.
Stakeholders are invited to make submissions on whether it is desirable to amend or replace AusNet Services' current framework and approach by Monday, 4 December 2023.
