The AER is required under Chapter 6A of the National Electricity Rules (NER) to make a transmission determination for ElectraNet in relation to the South Australian electricity transmission network.
On 30 April 2013 the AER published its final decision on ElectraNet's revenue proposal for the five year regulatory control period, 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2018. The release of the AER's final decision followed an 11 month process of assessing ElectraNet's revenue proposal. This process involved the release of a draft decision in November 2012 and a revised revenue proposal from ElectraNet in January 2013.
In March 2014 the revenue determination was modified to include the costs of the Heywood Interconnector contingent project.
