Annual adjustment

-

On 2 July 2026, the AER received an annual revenue adjustment proposal from ACEREZ in relation to its revenue determination for the main Central-West Orana REZ network project. ACEREZ proposed to apply three adjustment mechanisms in its revenue determination. The proposed adjustments would update the schedule of payments to reflect:

  • additional licence requirements for administering the NSW Strategic Benefit Payment Scheme
  • differences between forecast and actual consumer price index outcomes
  • differences between forecast and actual wage price index outcomes.

We have assessed ACEREZ’s revenue adjustment proposal in accordance with the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Regulation 2021 (NSW) and are satisfied that:

  • the triggers for each adjustment event have occurred
  • the adjustments have been carried out in accordance with our Revenue determination guideline for NSW contestable network projects, the contractual arrangements entered into by ACEREZ and the adjustment mechanisms in the revenue determination
  • the proposal accurately calculates the adjustments to be applied to the schedule of payments.

The adjustments result in an additional $2.1 million payable to ACEREZ under the revenue determination over the period 2025–29. We have published the updated schedule of payments.
