On 10 February 2026, we published the final decision to classify the RNMGP as a transmission pipeline. 

We consider that the pipeline’s characteristics are consistent with that of a transmission pipeline and that its primary function is to convey gas to a market. 

We have considered stakeholder feedback, the national gas objective and the pipeline classification criteria set out in section 13 of the National Gas Law in making our final decision.
