Overview

Draft decision

On 28 July 2026, we published the draft decision for the Sturt Plateau Pipeline classification decision.

Our draft decision is to classify the Sturt Plateau Pipeline as a transmission pipeline. This classification takes effect from the date of publication of our final decision.

We have considered the national gas objective, the pipeline classification criterion, the pipeline characteristics outlined in section 13 of the National Gas Law and stakeholders’ views in making our draft decision.

We will make our final decision within 20 business days after submissions close.
