Preliminary position

On 2 April 2015, the AER issued its Framework and approach (F&A) preliminary positions paper for TasNetworks for consultation. The F&A outlines our proposed approach to the application of schemes and guidelines that will apply to TasNetworks prescribed distribution services. The F&A applies to the next regulatory control period (1 April 2017 to 30 June 2022).

Framework and approach

On 9 July 2015 the AER published the Final framework and approach paper. The paper sets out the likely approach to the classification of services provided by TasNetworks Distribution and states the form of control that will apply to those distribution services in the forthcoming regulatory control period 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2019. The paper also sets out the application of a service target performance incentive scheme, efficiency benefit sharing scheme, capital expenditure sharing scheme, demand management incentive scheme, and expenditure forecast assessment guideline.
