Application

On 12 December 2025, the AER accepted an application from GVSC Pty Limited to cancel this individual exemption, as it intends to cease selling energy to customers at Glenrose Village Shopping Centre.

The AER, in accordance with clause 20 of schedule 2 of the National Gas Law (as applied by section 8 of the National Energy Retail Law), has a general power to repeal any decisions it is entitled to make.

Submissions

Following the process set out in section 10.1 of the AER Retail Exempt Selling Guideline, we are now seeking submissions from interested stakeholders on GVSC Pty Limited’s application to cancel the exemption by COB Wednesday, 14 January 2026.

Submissions should be emailed to Rebecca Holland – General Manager (A/g), Compliance and Enforcement Branch at AERExemptionsataer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERExemptions[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) with the following email subject title: GVSC Pty Limited - cancellation of individual exemption.

We will take into account submissions in deciding whether or not to cancel GVSC Pty Limited’s exemption.

The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Accordingly, submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website, unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Those wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission.
