Decision
Back to topFollowing recent consultation with stakeholders, the AER has decided to delay its final 2020–25 network revenue determinations due on 30 April 2020.The AER now intends to release its final decision for Energex on 5 June 2020.
The short delay is to allow the AER to use short-term forecasts of inflation from the Reserve Bank of Australia released on 8 May 2020. This will allow the AER to include a more accurate reflection of the economic circumstances in our decision for the next regulatory control period.
We will provide Energex the indicative information it requires to commence preparing its annual pricing proposal for 1 July 2020 prices.
To aid transparency of this process and to assist stakeholders to prepare for 1 July network price changes, a number of documents relating to the delay will be published below under 'Supporting information'. This is expected to include the documents proposed for publication in the indicative timetable directly below.
