On 27 August 2014 and 20 April 2015, APTPPL submitted negative cost pass through applications to the AER, seeking to return costs as a result of the repeal of the carbon tax on 17 July 2014. APTPPL’s pass through applications include the removal from 2015-16 reference tariffs of carbon tax allowances which propose negative pass through amounts of $781,649 in 2015-16 and $741,473 in 2016-17, as well as returning to customers previously over recovered carbon tax revenues of $119,136.
