On 15 May 2015, APPTPL submitted a revised negative cost pass through application to remove carbon price allowances from RBP reference tariffs. On 19 May 2015, the AER Board determined that a negative carbon pass through event has occurred and has approved the proposed negative pass through amounts of $781,649 in 2015-16 and $741,473 in 2016-17 for the removal from 2015-16 reference tariffs of carbon tax allowances, and the proposed $119,135 return of previously over recovered carbon tax revenues to customers. These pass through amounts will be returned to customers in the form of lower tariffs from 1 July 2015.
