Overview

Issues paper

The AER released the 2022 annual benchmarking reports for distribution and transmission on 30 November 2022.

We republished the distribution report in February 2023 to correct a labelling error in two output charts (Figure B.7 and Figure B.8 of Appendix B). This did not impact any of the results or conclusions in the report.

Consultant reports

The AER’s annual benchmarking reports are supported by two expert reports from Quantonomics.

Quantonomics has also prepared a memorandum on options to address an ongoing technical issue with some of our econometric opex cost function benchmarking models.

Submissions - Quantonomics memorandum

-

We invited network businesses, energy consumers and other interested parties to make submissions on the memorandum prepared by our benchmarking consultant, Quantonomics, on options to address an ongoing technical issue with some of our econometric opex cost function benchmarking models by 10 February 2023.
