The AER published an Issues paper on 12 December 2025 and held an online public forum on 17 December 2025 for public consultation.
Stakeholder submissions on AusNet’s 2027–32 transmission revenue proposal and the AER’s Issues paper closed on 13 February 2026.
Background
AusNet Services owns and operates Victoria’s shared electricity transmission network.
Under the National Electricity Rules (NER), AusNet Services is required to submit its transmission revenue proposal to the AER by 31 October 2025 for the 5-year regulatory control period from 1 April 2027 to 31 March 2032.
Prior to this, the NER require us to review the current transmission Framework and Approach paper that applies to AusNet Services and decide whether to amend or replace it. On 30 April 2025, the AER published the final Framework and Approach for AusNet Services.
