The AER has extended the time to make a dispute resolution determination by 60 days under clause 5.16B(d) of the National Electricity Rules (NER), because of the complexity of the issues involved. 

This complexity arises from the number of grounds set out in the dispute notice, as well as the need to consider whether Transgrid’s application of the RIT-T meets the requirements of the NER and relevant guidelines, and how Transgrid’s approach to analysis for this Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (RIT-T) relate to the grounds of the dispute. 

The Centre for Independent Studies and Transgrid were notified of this extension on 8 September 2025.
