On 31 October 2025, TasNetworks submitted its stage 1 contingent project application to us, seeking an increase to its revenue in accordance with clause 6A.8.2 of the National Electricity Rules (NER) to fund the delivery of the NWTD Stage 1 contingent project as part of the Project Marinus actionable ISP project.

We are required to make a determination on this contingent project application under clause 6A.8.2 of the NER.

TasNetworks provided the following documents to support its application. 

We invited energy consumers and other interested parties to make submissions on TasNetworks’ North West Transmission Development Stage 1 contingent project application. Submissions closed on Friday, 28 November 2025.
