We have now published our draft decision on Powerlink's electricity transmission determination for the 2027–32 regulatory control period.

We commissioned the following reports, which we took into account when making our draft decision for Powerlink’ 2027–32 electricity transmission determination. 

On 22 October 2026, we will hold an online predetermination conference to discuss our draft decision.

This online conference is an opportunity for stakeholders to learn about the draft decision and to provide feedback.

Consumer engagement is a valuable input to our determination, and we encourage all interested stakeholders to join us.

Powerlink's revised proposal is due by 2 December 2026. 

We invite energy consumers and other interested parties to make submissions on both our draft decision and Powerlink’s revised proposal (once submitted) by Tuesday, 19 January 2027.

Written submissions should be sent electronically to AERresets2027-32aer [dot] gov [dot] au (AERresets2027-32[at]aer[dot]gov[dot]au) and addressed to the General Manager, Network Pricing, Australian Energy Regulator.

Submissions should be in Microsoft Word or another text readable document format.

We prefer that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. We will treat submissions as public documents unless otherwise requested. 

Parties wishing to submit confidential information should:

• clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
• provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.

All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER's website.
