On 12 September 2025, the AER sent the Centre for Independent Studies (CIS) a request for information under clause 5.16B(f)(3) of the National Electricity Rules (NER). The information request asked the CIS to clarify the how it may be considered a disputing party for the purposes of rule 5.16B of the NER, and to clarify the grounds of the dispute the CIS had raised. The CIS provided a non-confidential response on 2 October.
On 3 October, the AER sent Transgrid a request for information under clause 5.16B(f)(3) of the NER. The information request asked Transgrid to respond to the grounds of the dispute raised by the CIS, and to provide any other relevant information. Transgrid provided a confidential response on 22 October, a non-confidential version of which is available below.
In accordance with clause 5.16B(i) of the NER, the period of time in which the AER must make its determination is automatically extended by the time taken for a party to respond to our request for information.
