The AER is required to determine the revenue allowance for ElectraNet for the five year regulatory control period commencing 1 July 2018.

On 28 March 2017, ElectraNet submitted its transmission revenue proposal and supporting information to the AER. The proposal sets out the revenue ElectraNet proposes to collect from electricity consumers through transmission charges from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2023.

On 25 May 2017, we published an issues paper on ElectraNet's revenue proposal.

On 7 June 2017, we conducted a public forum on ElectraNet's revenue proposal.

Invitation for submissions

Energy consumers and other interested parties are invited to make submissions on ElectraNet's revenue proposal or the AER issues paper by close of business on Friday 7 July 2017.

The AER prefers that all submissions be sent in an electronic format in Microsoft Word or other text readable document form and publicly available, to facilitate an informed, transparent and robust consultation process. Submissions should be emailed to ElectraNet2018@aer.gov.au.

Submissions will be treated as public documents and posted on the AER's website unless prior arrangements are made with the AER to treat the submission, or portions of it, as confidential. Those wishing to submit confidential information are requested to:

  • clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim; and
  • provide a non-confidential version of the submission.
