We invite energy consumers and other interested parties to make submissions on the draft Annual Information Orders and supporting documents by Monday, 11 May 2026.

We encourage engagement by all energy sector participants and stakeholders. The decisions we make and the actions we take affect a wide range of individuals, businesses, and organisations. Hearing from those affected by our work helps us make better decisions, provides greater transparency and predictability, and builds trust and confidence in the regulatory regime.

We prefer that all submissions be publicly available to facilitate an informed and transparent consultative process. We will treat submissions as public documents unless otherwise requested. All non-confidential submissions will be placed on the AER's website. For further information regarding the AER's use and disclosure of information provided to it, see the ACCC/AER Information Policy.

We request parties wishing to submit confidential information:

• clearly identify the information that is the subject of the confidentiality claim
• provide a non-confidential version of the submission in a form suitable for publication.

The draft data submission workbooks (Appendix A to the Order) are provided showing changes applied compared to the 2024-25 version of the data submission workbooks.

We have prepared prefilled Basis of Preparation files for the NSPs. These files have Data Submission Workbook tables prefilled to help NSPs understand the Basis of Preparation requirements, set out in section 5 of the Annual Information Orders. 

Section 4 of the Annual Information Orders sets out the supporting information required in response to the Orders. As part of the overall requirement, the Orders include an obligation on NSPs to provide a table that identifies each response to section 4 and where it is provided in the annual information submission.  (See section 4.1.2(a) DNSP Order, and section 4.1.1(a) TNSP and Interconnector Orders.) 

To assist NSP meet this requirement, the tables below list each requirement in section 4 in excel format.
