On 28 March 2017, ElectraNet submitted its transmission revenue proposal, proposed negotiating framework and proposed pricing methodology and supporting information to the AER. The proposal sets out the revenue ElectraNet proposes to collect from electricity consumers through transmission charges from 2018 to 2023.

Under clause 6A.9.4 of the NER, the AER's transmission determination for ElectraNet must set out the Negotiated Transmission Service Criteria (NTSC). The NTSC determined by the AER must give effect to, and be consistent with, the negotiated transmission service principles set out in clause 6A.9.1 of the NER.

We invited submissions on the NTSC by 7 July 2017. No submissions were received.

On 7 June 2017, we conducted a public forum in Adelaide on ElectraNet's revenue proposal for 2018-23.

We published an issues paper for ElectraNet. The issues paper considers revenues that ElectraNet can earn for the five-year period starting 1 July 2018. The paper sets out the areas of the proposal that will likely be a focus of our review, and also considers ElectraNet's regulatory proposal, providing context to our review. We invited written submissions on this issues paper. Submissions closed on 7 July 2017.

ElectraNet proposes to establish, with funding assistance from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), an electricity storage asset on its network at Dalrymple in South Australia: the Energy Storage for Commercial Renewable Integration South Australia (ESCRI-SA) Project.
